Final Eight 2027 – Semifinals

Only four teams will remain in contention when the Frecciarossa Final Eight 2027 semi-finals take place at Inalpi Arena in Turin on Saturday, 20 February 2027. Following two days of quarter-final basketball, the surviving clubs will compete in two knockout matches to decide who advances to Sunday's Coppa Italia final.

For supporters planning to attend the most decisive stage of the tournament before the championship game, the semi-finals offer the opportunity to watch four of Italy's leading basketball teams compete on the same day. The Race for the Coppa Italia Final

The semi-finals bring together the four winners from the quarter-finals played on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 February.

By this stage, the original eight-team field will have been reduced by half. Every remaining club will have earned its place through a knockout victory, and the pressure increases as the competition moves closer to deciding its champion.

The four-day format also creates a demanding schedule. Teams progressing from Friday's quarter-finals must prepare for another elimination match the following day, making recovery, squad depth and tactical adjustments particularly important.

Both semi-final winners will advance to the championship game on Sunday 21 February, while the losing sides will see their Coppa Italia campaigns come to an end.

What Happened in the 2026 Semi-Finals?

The previous edition demonstrated how competitive the closing stages of the Coppa Italia can be.

In February 2026, EA7 Emporio Armani Milano defeated Germani Brescia 106–102 in a high-scoring semi-final at Inalpi Arena. In the other match, Bertram Derthona Tortona overcame Virtus Bologna 84–78 to secure its place in the final.

Milano subsequently defeated Tortona 85–77 to claim the trophy.

Those results illustrate the level of opposition that awaits teams reaching this stage. Established clubs and ambitious challengers must perform under the same knockout conditions, with a place in the final decided by a single match.

The four semi-finalists for 2027 will be determined by the quarter-final results earlier in the tournament.
