OGR Torino, Turin
OGR Torino occupies the former Officine Grandi Riparazioni, the vast railway repair workshops founded in 1895 where locomotives, carriages and wagons were maintained for almost a century. After the workshops closed in the early 1990s the complex stood largely abandoned until Fondazione CRT acquired it in 2013 and led a sweeping restoration; the reborn OGR opened on 30 September 2017 with the "Big Bang" inaugural festival. Today its industrial halls host concerts, exhibitions and performing arts alongside a technology and innovation hub, with fixtures such as the C2C Festival and Italian Tech Week on the calendar.
Getting there
OGR Torino stands on Corso Castelfidardo in central Turin, next to the Politecnico. Porta Susa, the city's high-speed railway and metro interchange, is within walking distance, and tram and bus lines run along the surrounding boulevards, so most visitors arrive on foot or by public transport.
